About Me

My name is Perle Tommy and I am a fourth-year students at UVic. I study Chemistry for Medical Sciences and am especially passionate about mental health and healthcare. I am particularly interested in how molecular phenomena in one’s brain and body lead to health outcomes which greatly influence one’s reality. In my spare time, I volunteer out in the community and write for UVic’s Mental Health Blog. I am so happy to be learning about Open and Distributed Learning because I strongly believe in the power of education and equitable access to knowledge. I always say that knowledge is vibrance and I do my best to use my knowledge and skills to positively impact the world around me.
